BREAKFAST: A simple breakfast is served the first morning upon arrival to welcome guests and hear their stories of their journey here. Guests are responsible for their own meals afterwards.
DAILY ZAZEN SITTING MEDITATION: Monday - Friday mornings from 5:20-6:20 a.m. Beginning instruction is offered on “sitting protocol”. Please let Akiko know if you plan to sit.
TRANSPORTATION: A rental car is advisable. There is public bus service. Visit Hele On Bus Schedules. Our stop is "HAKALAU."
GUEST ACTIVITIES: While here, you are welcome to assist in the gardens on the 2-acre grounds, participate in daily sitting-meditation practice, do yoga, attend tai chi & qigong classes, and bon dance practice at our Hakalau Jodo Temple, visit our Tuesday Hakalau Farmers Market & Food Share, and take surfing lessons with John, our surfer dude.
CANCELLATION POLICY: There is a $50 booking fee if a cancellation is made 2 weeks prior to arrival. Otherwise a refund can only be provided if the accommodation can be rebooked.
